Specialist in School Psychology Program

Students in our school psychology program earn a master’s degree and a specialist in school psychology (SSP) degree. Our specialist-level program is fully approved by the . This certification entitlement program typically takes a total of three years (including internship) and involves:

  • A minimum of 60 hours of coursework
  • First-year practicum (75 hours) and second-year practicum (350 hours)
  • A two-semester internship
  • Competency examination
  • Completion of a portfolio containing performance and knowledge-based evidence to demonstrate that program competencies have been met
  • We do not have a respecialization program; we only take full-time students
