Seven Great Apps Every Huskie Should Have.

Besides the 麻豆精品 Mobile app, there are six other apps every Huskie should have. You'll be safe with the 麻豆精品 Safe App, connected to academics with Navigate Student, in touch with email with Outlook, transported with the Spot Huskie Bus Tracker and involved in clubs and organizations with the Huskie Hub App. Download the seven apps every Huskie should have from the App Store or Google Play.

Food Truck Wednesdays Returns Aug. 28.
|
Join us for food, fun and good vibes this fall!
Take a midweek break between class to meet up with friends, enjoy an outdoor lunch and experience some local favorites right in the center of campus. Up to 12 food trucks will be featured in the MLK Commons through Oct. 30. You'll find quite the variety: coffee, lemonade, ice cream, desserts, burgers, fried chicken, BBQ, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Asian and more!

The MLK Commons is the place to be on Wednesday, Sept. 4. The Involvement Fair, the Campus Meets Community Block Party, and Food Truck Wednesday are all taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come learn about our student organizations and academic departments, discover local DeKalb businesses and grab a bite to eat from some of our local favorite food vendors, right in the heart of campus.

It's Time to Waive or Enroll in our Student Insurance Program.
|
|
|
Students taking 9 or more credit hours are automatically billed $1,378.00 for student health insurance for fall 2024. You can find more information regarding the plan on our website.
If you have comparable insurance and have not yet canceled the plan, the is now open until Sept. 30, 2024. This is an online process only. Once you complete the waiver, and it鈥檚 accepted the charge for insurance will be removed from your student account.

|
The waiver deadline is firm, therefore if you do not waive the student health insurance by Sept. 30, you will be enrolled for semester coverage under the plan, and no reimbursements will be given. Question can be emailed to studentinsurance@niu.edu.
Students taking less than 9 credit hours are not automatically enrolled in our student health insurance program. However, if eligible, you do have the opportunity to voluntarily enroll for coverage. The fall open enrollment period for our optional dental, vision, teledoc and health insurance plans administered by Benefit Partners Technology is open until Oct. 31, 2024. .

麻豆精品 Huskies Football vs. Toledo
Saturday, Oct. 19.
As a student, you get free admission to all Huskie Athletics regular season home events. All student tickets are claimed by the 麻豆精品 mobile ticket system. We recommend that you download tickets to your phone prior to game day. Before entering the event on game day, simply open the digital wallet on your phone and select the game ticket to be scanned for entry. Get on how to add and manage tickets to either your Apple or Android phone.

Registering International Travel.
|
- If you鈥檙e traveling abroad on behalf of our university or for university business or interests, you must purchase supplemental travel insurance; details provided at registration.
- If you鈥檙e traveling to Level 3 or Level 4 Travel Advisory Areas, you must purchase supplemental travel insurance; details provided at registration.
- Travel abroad should be registered 30 days in advance.
- If you鈥檙e traveling as part of a study abroad credit-bearing program, you must register through our Study Abroad office.

Social anxiety鈥攖he extreme fear of being judged and evaluated by other people鈥攃an be crippling. And in a place like college, where you鈥檙e frequently put into new social situations, nerves can be particularly high. 鈥淪ocial anxiety feels like everyone around you is judging how you breathe, how you blink, how you move your arms, how you speak, what you鈥檙e wearing,鈥� says Shannary H., a third-year student at San Diego State University in California. 鈥淚t鈥檚 this constant worry everyone around you is judging your every movement, even if you鈥檙e in a room full of people watching a concert or paying attention to the professor.鈥�
