There are many resources on campus and in the community that can help you address a variety of issues. We welcome you to explore the programs and services available to you.

Student Absence Notifications

For extended absences due to a death in the family or hospitalizations, the Dean of Students Office can send absence notifications on behalf of a student to their faculty and staff. For more information on the process, please contact Jeffrey Salmon at jsalmon1@niu.edu.

Food and Personal Care

The Huskie Food Pantry provides free, healthy food, as well as personal care items, toiletries, school supplies and supplies for infant/toddler care.

There are many resources on campus dedicated to your health and well-being:

Huskie Bus Line is operated by the city of DeKalb. It's free for students and goes to many locations on and off campus.
