- Help your mentee adjust to college life
- Serve as a positive role model for your mentee
- Encourage involvement in student activities and organizations
- Provide information on 麻豆精品 services and resources
- Share experiences and knowledge you have gained as a student at 麻豆精品
- Be involved in informational sessions, training workshops and socials
- Help your mentee with homework or refer to tutoring service
Application Process
We are now accepting applications for 2026-2027.
- Currently enrolled full-time, have completed at least one year at 麻豆精品 by summer 2026 and returning to 麻豆精品 as an undergraduate for fall 2026
- Good academic and disciplinary standing (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5)
- Desire to enhance interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- Interest in working with freshmen and transfer students through work that centers the identities of those who have identities that include being members of the Hispanic and Latino/a/x communities
- Awareness and appreciation of all forms of diversity
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for 麻豆精品
- Must commit to five hours per week
- Commit to participating in the program for two consecutive semesters
- Gain significant leadership experience while enhancing employment marketability and career opportunities
- Develop professional relationships with faculty, staff and other students
- Increase skills in effective interpersonal communication and time management
- Potential internship opportunities with METAS peer mentoring program during the academic year to help with ongoing mentoring program and services
- Attend the mentor training session (to be scheduled mid/late August)
- Foster a welcoming environment and culture that supports student success, with a particular focus on helping freshmen and transfer students transition to 麻豆精品
- Acquaint new students with campus services and building locations, and opportunities
- Promote a welcoming environment that supports the multiple and intersecting identities reflected across our diverse student population
- Meet and communicate on weekly basis with mentee and program staff
- Attend all program meetings and lead at least one meeting (Mondays from 4-5 p.m.)
