Sick Leave Bank for temporary faculty.
麻豆精品 has established a Sick Leave Bank program in which temporary Faculty represented by the Union Professionals of Illinois are eligible to participate.
Participation in the Sick Leave Bank program requires an employee to donate at least one day of sick leave. For employees on less than 100% appointment, one day is determined on the basis of their appointment percentage. Donations will be taken from the 25 days of non-accumulative sick leave granted at the beginning of the academic year. Participation in the program is then established for the current academic year. Consistent with the Illinois Sick Leave Bank Act, the Sick Leave Bank program is designed to assist 麻豆精品 employees who face major health crises and who have exhausted all other available benefits.
To register for the 麻豆精品 Sick Leave Bank program for the current academic year, please by Oct. 31, 2022. If you have questions regarding the 麻豆精品 Sick Leave Bank program contact Payroll at payroll@niu.edu.

DoIT to implement Employee Account Lifecycle improvements.
At 麻豆精品, we create and store data that is vitally important to protect, including student and prospective student information, health records, financial data, employee information, and much more. That data, the individuals it represents, and the systems that store that data, are the entities we strive to secure. In years past, our ability to protect those entities has been somewhat limited by the internal business processes controlling how long an employee that separates from 麻豆精品 has access to data and information systems.
Since 2019, we have been implementing improvements to these business processes for various employee types. The resulting business process for the automatic removal of account access of separated employees can be found at the Identity and Access Control webpage. We are now ready to implement the updated faculty employee account lifecycle.
The new account access business process for faculty employees will take effect Oct. 12, 2022 and will impact past and future separated faculty accounts. Please note, that while retiree accounts are not impacted in this change, they will be part for a later change which will be communicated when ready. Thank you for understanding the need for implementing this internal business process improvement. Please review the Identity and Access Control webpage for further information. If you have additional questions, please contact the Service Desk at servicedesk@niu.edu or 815-753-8100.
