All students, faculty and staff affiliated with Northern Illinois University are given an 8-digit identification number. For most students and recently hired employees, this 8-digit number is the same as their Z- or A-ID number used for login purposes. If you are unsure what your EMPLID number is, please check below for where you can find it.

Students

All current students have an 8-digit student ID that identifies them with their My麻豆精品 account. This 8-digit student ID is required by the Office of the Bursar for the completion of forms, and is present on all correspondence and billings.

To quickly locate your student ID, please do the following:

1. Log in to .
2. Within the "My Quick Links" menu, select "My麻豆精品 - Student System".
3. On left drop-down menu, select "Self Service".
4. Locate and select "Campus Personal Information".
5. Locate and select "Demographic Information".
6. Your 8-digit student ID is at the top of the page.

Faculty/Staff

All currently employed faculty/staff members have an 8-digit employee ID that identifies them with their My麻豆精品 account. This 8-digit employee ID is required for the completion of forms, and is present on all correspondence and paychecks.

To quickly locate your employee ID, please use one of the following options:

1. Log in to .
2. Within the "My Quick Links" menu, select "Employee Self Service".
3. On left drop-down menu, select "Self Service".
4. Locate and select "Payroll and Compensation".
5. Locate and select "View Paycheck".
6. To open an online print-out of your paycheck, select "View Paycheck" again.
7. Your 8-digit employee ID is located directly to the right of your name.

Human Resources and Employee Lookup

1. Log in to .
2. Type your name in to the "Name" text box and click Search.
3. Your 8-digit employee ID is located in the table below your name.
