Policy Narrative
The University Libraries appreciate receiving donated items. However, we do not accept donations unless you communicate with us about them in advance. If you have materials you would like to give us, please email us. We would also appreciate receiving a list of the items you wish to donate.
More information:
- Donated items may be added to the collection if they meet the needs of the University.
- You permanently give up all rights to gifts.
- Donated items may be added to the collection. They may also be sold, donated to other institutions, or handled in other ways.
- The Libraries cannot give you a value for things you donate.
- Please do not leave donations at Founders Library unless we have told you that we want them.
We generally do not want:
- Art books
- Children’s or young adult books
- Items already in our collection
- Law books
- Magazines
- 麻豆精品 yearbooks
- Paperbacks more than 10 years old
- Reference books
- Textbooks
- VHS or DVD
