Ballet and Pointe
Originally from Houston, Texas, Blair received her formal ballet training at The Houston Ballet Academy, The Dallas Metropolitan Ballet, The Atlanta Ballet School, The Rockford Dance Company, and the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. She holds a B.F.A. in Dance Performance from Northern Illinois University, where she later served as a Visiting Assistant Professor, teaching ballet and setting contemporary ballet works.
Her professional performance career includes work with Ballet Nouveau Colorado, Ballet Deviare, and the Sarasota Ballet of Florida. Additionally, she has performed as a guest artist with the Civic Ballet at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, State Street Dance Studio, Faubourg Ballet, Alma Ballet, and various other regional dance schools.
Teaching and choreography are her passions. She has over 20 years of experience working with students across the Chicago area, as well as in New York, Colorado, and Florida. Blair has also been recognized for excellence in choreography for her contemporary ballet works in competitive dance.
