Blake James
Costume Technology
Blake is a recent graduate of the MFA in Costume Production program from Penn State. Their specialty is in Men’s Tailoring and their graduate thesis, The Fashion of the Queer EGO(T) focused on menswear for gender-queer and gender non-conforming bodies. Professionally, they work in the costume shop at the Santa Fe Opera House every summer, where they have worked on a number of shows including Cosi Fan Tutte, La Boheme, Madame Butterfly, Eugene Onegin, and many more. Blake’s dream has been to teach ever since they were young, so they are very excited to join 麻豆精品 as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Costume Production this year.
