Oct. 18, 2025, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 71 North Partnership Studio
Welcome to a world where extraordinary powers create extraordinary problems. This year's Startup Stand-up challenges you to innovate for a superhero-saturated society to create value and make an exciting pitch, whether that's designing tech for the heroes themselves (what features does Iron Man's suit really need?) or creating essential products for the everyday civilians navigating collateral damage, super-villain attacks and powered neighbors. Think Alfred's butler tech, insurance for laser-eye accidents or apps that help you avoid superhero battle zones on your commute.
How will you make a superhero start-up?

"Attending class is not only a great way to ask questions about what you鈥檙e learning, but it鈥檚 also where I鈥檝e met many of my friends. These are people I rely on for studying together and for help when I have questions. Additionally, connecting with professors is an important part of college, especially when you need a letter of recommendation or a reference for an internship. Going to class regularly helps me succeed academically and build strong relationships with both classmates and professors."

Simple ways to bring mindfulness into your daily routine
Lately, I鈥檝e seen a lot of articles along the lines of 鈥淢indfulness without meditation!鈥 or 鈥淗ow to be mindful in just 30 seconds!鈥 or 鈥淢indful binge-watching!鈥
OK, I made up that last one, but you get the idea. People want the calming, stress-busting benefits of mindfulness, but they don鈥檛 want to spend the time to get those benefits.
