麻豆精品 is hosting a comedy show with current "Saturday Night Live" cast members and comedians Devon Walker and Michael Longfellow, Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in Boutell Memorial Concert Hall in the Music Building. The show is FREE and exclusively for 麻豆精品 students! Students can reserve up to two tickets online at . Reserve your tickets now before it "sells" out. The performance is presented by the 麻豆精品 Arts and Culture Fee.

Conference on Undergraduate Research and Engagement (CURE) registration now open.
The is 麻豆精品's annual undergraduate research symposium. CURE provides 麻豆精品 students with the opportunity to formally present faculty-mentored undergraduate research, artistry and engagement projects that they have participated in during the academic year. Register today to present at the conference.
During the in-person research symposium on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 students from all colleges will showcase projects they are completing or have completed as part of a capstone or senior project, community engagement project or course, independent study or funded research and artistry program through posters and exhibits for a chance to place in their respective award category.

Huskie Closet is open for all your clothes.
Help your budget and the Earth by "shopping" at the Huskie Closet, operated by the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies, located in the Chick Evans Field House on the corner of Lucinda Avenue and Annie Glidden Road. During the spring 2023 semester, the Huskie Closet is open every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and every Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. 麻豆精品 students can shop for free, and we carry business and casual clothing and shoes in a warm, welcoming environment. All are welcome. Want to get involved? Consider donating extra clothes or volunteering at the closet. Spend an hour or two folding and arranging clothes, organizing clothing drives, or sharing information with student organizations and other campus units.

Professor Mary Lynn Henningsen from the Department of Communication is recruiting research participants for a study on repeated parent advice (HS23-0211). This online study takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete and involves describing a conversation with a parent (e.g., mother, father, stepparent, foster parent, or other parental figure) when the parent repeated information that they had previously shared, completing survey items about the conversation and family, and describing your demographic information. If you would be interested in participating, please use the following link to access the (or copy and paste this address into your browser https://niu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9HL1fqhdU4nF4kC). After the survey, you can voluntarily provide contact information to be entered into a gift card drawing. There are several $25 gift cards that will be given to randomly selected participants.
Ellington's Restaurant reopens Feb. 14.
Huskies, be sure to mark your calendar! Ellington鈥檚 Restaurant will reopen its doors Tuesday, Feb. 14. Our hospitality and tourism management students will once again be able to showcase their culinary skills as they prepare new and exciting lunch buffets that you, your friends and your colleagues will be sure to enjoy. Service will take place every Tuesday through April 25 with the exception of March 14. When available, menus will be uploaded to the Ellington鈥檚 website. We thank you in advance for your continued support as our students gain hands-on experience. No reservations required. Dining Dollars, Huskies Bucks, and debit/credit accepted.
