Food Systems Innovation Challenge scheduled for Nov. 11-12, 2023.
Are you passionate about sustainability and the future of food systems? Join us to help create positive change in the world. This 24-hour event will challenge you to solve some of the world鈥檚 most pressing issues.
Get your team of 4-6 people together and register today. Your team members should have a variety of skills and interests. Individuals are encouraged to register as well. Experts will be there to provide guidance, and the event will conclude with a prize ceremony.

Spring 2024 class registration begins today. Read the tips below and learn when to register and how to register for classes.
1. If you have not met with your advisor, do so. They are here to help you.
- It鈥檚 important to stay on track to graduation and your advisor is here to help ensure you are heading in the right direction.
- Remote advising is available. Options for remote advising could include virtual video conferences, phone calls, 麻豆精品 emails or IM chats. Schedule an advising appointment through by clicking Appointments and selecting the "Advising" service, or contact your academic advising office to learn more about your options.
- Come prepared to your meeting with any concerns that you have. Your advisor can help answer your questions and point you to available resources.
2. Log in to My麻豆精品 and Navigate Student.
- In , you can check your enrollment date鈥攖he date and time you are able to register for classes.
- In Navigate Student, you can see a list of important, time-sensitive To-Do items related to class registration. You can also schedule an appointment with your academic advisor through Navigate Student by click on Appointments and selecting the "Advising" service.
- In both My麻豆精品 and Navigate Student, you can see any holds on your account that may prevent you from registering for classes. Learn more about holds on student accounts.

Seminar Will Offer Tips and Sneak Peek at UNIV 301
Interested in learning how to set yourself up for success while at 麻豆精品 and after graduation? Braven, Inc., which partners with 麻豆精品 to offer the 3-credit UNIV 301: Leadership and Career Accelerator, will present 鈥淏raven鈥檚 Career Blueprint: Crafting Your Path to Success,鈥 on Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m. This virtual workshop will offer valuable insights on how to find success while at 麻豆精品 and beyond and a sneak peek at UNIV 301. The workshop is open to all 麻豆精品 students interested in the UNIV 301 course.

More than 600 Huskies have enrolled in UNIV 301 since it began in 2022 and spots will fill fast for the Spring 2024 semester, with the course offered Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. Students in the course:

- Create a professional portfolio (including a resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile).
- Build community on campus and in professional networks.
- Gain long-lasting support: When you complete UNIV 301, you can be paired with a mentor to support you through your academic and professional career planning.

Nominations for the 2023 Outstanding Contributions to International Education Awards are now being accepted. The award winners will be announced during International Education Week (Nov. 13-17) at the International Recognition Reception which takes place 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in the Sky Room of the Holmes Student Center.
We鈥檙e seeking nominations for the following awards:
- Outstanding Department Contribution to International Education at 麻豆精品.
- Outstanding International Educator.
- Outstanding Staff Contribution to International Education.
- Outstanding Student Contribution to International Education (for a domestic student and a nonimmigrant student).

Higher Learning Commission (HLC) Insights
|
|
|
On-site visits from the Higher Learning Commission occur after the peer review team reviews the institutional report and student survey results. The team will work with 麻豆精品 to create the agenda, which typically includes meetings with university leadership and board members as well as open forums with students, faculty and staff.
The HLC site visit is scheduled for March 25-26, 2024.
