Are you eligible to graduate in May? Feb. 1 is the deadline to apply for Spring 2025 graduation via self-service in MyÂé¶¹¾«Æ·. Undergrads with 90+ credits are encouraged to apply. More information about applying to graduate can be found on the Registration and Records website.

Career Services introduces Huskie Career Lauchpad.

Career Services is excited to announce a new resource available to Âé¶¹¾«Æ· students this semester! The Huskie Career Launchpad is designed to guide you toward career-readiness, earning badges for your accomplishments along the way.
Complete the requirements for the Career Plan Badge and the Career Exploration Passport by utilizing Career Services’ resources, attending career-related events, developing valuable skills and more.
By keeping track of the experiences you’ve completed and the resources you’ve yet to explore, the Huskie Career Launchpad can help you organize the career-building services available to you.
To begin your quest for career-readiness, you can download the Suitable iOS app or Android app on your phone. Register and login using your zID@niu.edu email address. If you already have a Suitable account with your Âé¶¹¾«Æ· email, you can toggle between the Huskie Career Launchpad and other Suitable platforms through the Suitable Switch Dashboard.

Valentine’s Cookie Exchange — get baking with the Rec!

Grab a friend or come meet fellow Huskies at our Valentine’s Cookie Exchange baking extravaganza. Pair up and prepare one of four delicious cookies, then share with your fellow bakers and take home a delightful assortment. Salted caramel pretzel, red velvet with cream cheese frosting, oh my! Our hands-on cooking classes fill up fast and don’t disappoint. Baking begins 5 p.m., Feb. 13,

10-week Cancer Fit Program
|
Join Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Recreation for this program is led by a CancerFit/LiveStrong-certified instructor. It is designed with progressions and regressions to provide safe and effective exercises for all stages and types of cancer. Evidence-based programming will be introduced and led during the duration of the program. Includes 30-minute health consultation before and after program.

Applying for scholarships is a great way to help pay for your Âé¶¹¾«Æ· education. Scholarships do not need to be repaid and are awarded based on a variety of factors, including academic achievement and financial need.
You can now search and apply for most Âé¶¹¾«Æ· scholarships online in MyScholarships. The deadline for many scholarships is January 31, 2025.

How caring for others can actually reduce stress
|
Most of our stress and anxiety comes from a fixation on our own petty concerns, the stories we fabricate about what’s wrong with ourselves and our lives. When we turn our focus toward others, we loosen up this stressful, self-oriented fixation, and we can relax a bit.
