Now is the time to start preparing to register for spring 2023 classes. Read the tips below and learn when to register and how to register for classes.

 

1. If you have not met with your advisor, do so. They are here to help you.

• It’s important to stay on track to graduation and your advisor is here to help ensure you are heading in the right direction.
• Remote advising is available. Options for remote advising could include virtual video conferences, phone calls, Â鶹¾«Æ· emails or IM chats. Schedule an advising appointment through  by clicking Appointments and selecting the "Advising" service, or contact your academic advising office to learn more about your options. 
• Come prepared to your meeting with any concerns that you have. Your advisor can help answer your questions and point you to available resources.

2. Log in to MyÂ鶹¾«Æ· and Navigate Student.

• In , you can check your enrollment date—the date and time you are able to register for classes.
• In Navigate Student, you can see a list of important, time-sensitive To-Do items related to class registration. You can also schedule an appointment with your academic advisor through Navigate Student.
• In both MyÂ鶹¾«Æ· and Navigate Student, you can see any holds on your account that may prevent you from registering for classes. Learn more about holds on student accounts.

Thinking about withdrawing from a course?

Friday, Oct. 28 is the last day for undergraduates to request a full-semester course withdrawal through advisor (Fall 2022). Students who are considering withdrawing from a course should reach out to their academic advisor as well as their financial aid counselor. Dropping a course can impact financial aid eligibility and academic course progression.

 

Campus Activities Board (CAB) is looking for feedback. 

The Campus Activities Board wants to know what you think. All students are welcome to take for feedback on past events and suggestions for future events.

 

Â鶹¾«Æ· Recreation wants to hear your voice!

Â鶹¾«Æ· Recreation wants to offer you the best nutrition and cooking programs. Results will be used to improve current and future nutrition programs. We appreciate your feedback.

 

Funding for spring 2023 undergraduate research projects available.

Applications for spring 2023 Student Engagement Fund (SEF) and Research, Engagement and Academic Diversity (READ) Grant are currently being accepted and have a due date of Monday, Oct. 31. SEF and READ support projects that consist of undergraduate students working on faculty-mentored research, community-based projects and projects focused on social justice and diversity. Student and faculty submissions are considered.

 

Recipients of the funds are provided financial support of up to $2,500 for research related expenses including project supplies and conference registration (for the student). Additionally, students working on the project are eligible for up to $1,200 in compensation for their work as an undergraduate research assistant.

Register for the Sustainability Hack taking place on Nov. 5-6, 2022.

Are you passionate about food and sustainability? Bring your team and create solutions that could have a positive change in the world. Prizes will be awarded for the best solutions! Coding skills not required. Mentors will be there to provide guidance. This free event is open to all college students (includes meals, snacks and a Huskie Hack T-shirt).
