2026 Contest Rules
Entry Submissions
- Open to students in grades K-5.
- Download, print, color and complete information on both sides of coloring contest entry. Coloring entry will also be available in Shaw Media newspapers leading up to the contest deadline.
- Deadline to drop off at DeKalb elementary schools, DeKalb, Genoa or Sycamore Library: Monday, Sept. 21, 2026.
Winner Selection
- One winner will be selected from each grade (K-5).
- Winners will be invited to walk with their family in the March of the Huskies parade Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 as part of .
- All submissions will be on display in downtown DeKalb business windows.
