Volunteer to Support Week of Welcome!

Week of Welcome is quickly approaching, and it’s time to start preparing to welcome new students to campus. This year's Week of Welcome (Wednesday, Aug. 21 to Sunday, Aug. 25) offers targeted programming for incoming first-year students to experience campus as a large cohort approximately a week before the start of fall classes. This exclusive experience is focused on enhancing their connection to our campus community and ensuring that students are adequately prepared to start the fall semester.
Staff and faculty can support new students in finding their place on campus and within our Âé¶¹¾«Æ· community by volunteering at WOW events. In addition to the highlighted events below, a full schedule of WOW events for incoming students can be viewed in our . The Guidebook app can be downloaded on both Apple and Android devices. WOW events available to all students can be viewed on the WOW feed on our Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Calendar. Please sign up to volunteer by Friday, Aug. 16, 2024.

Volunteer Sign-Up for Residence Hall Move-In

Âé¶¹¾«Æ· students, organizations, staff/faculty, alumni and community members are invited to volunteer and sign up for Âé¶¹¾«Æ·'s Residence Hall Move-In. Please help us to welcome the next generation of Huskies to Âé¶¹¾«Æ·.
Residence Hall Move-In, for new students, will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 21 and Thursday, Aug. 22. As we prepare to welcome our students to campus for the coming year, we request your Huskie Spirit and assistance to make Move-In a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our fellow Huskies and their families. For just $65 each, Âé¶¹¾«Æ· faculty and staff can purchase up to four tickets to Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Football at Notre Dame Saturday, Sept. 7. Purchase your tickets today and be part of our Huskie Nation in South Bend.

As previously indicated, HRS is actively pursuing form automation. Effective immediately, the following form is accessible on the HR website through a dedicated Kuali link.
HRS aims to enhance accessibility and streamline processes by making these forms available through Kuali Build, an online workflow toolkit.

Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Foundation Invites Applications for Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Impact.
|
Applications are now being accepted for Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Impact, the Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Foundation's crowdfunding platform where students, faculty, staff members and researchers can raise money to turn their great ideas into reality. Since its inception in 2021, Âé¶¹¾«Æ· Impact has helped raise nearly $400,000 from over 2,600 total gifts!

Faculty, Staff and Alumni Week at the Huskie Food Pantry (Aug. 27-29; shifts vary)

The beginning of the semester is an important time for students as they settle into new routines. Close to 25 Âé¶¹¾«Æ· faculty, staff and alumni are needed to support our Huskie Food Pantry’s operations as students transition from summer break. to help prep our pantry or assist students as they shop through one of five shifts available between Aug. 27-29.
Âé¶¹¾«Æ· employees can use their Huskies Give Back (volunteer leave) time to support our pantry and our students during a time when support is sorely needed. Find more information about the Huskies Give Back program, which allows employees to volunteer during regular working hours.

This event provides you with the opportunity to meet and interact with fellow new faculty members, senior faculty members and key leaders in Academic Affairs while learning more about our university.
The event takes place 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, in Altgeld Hall, Room 315. .
