Parking Lot Maintenance.

 Parking Lot C, East of the Chick Evans Field House will be temporarily closed for facility maintenance on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Disruptions in lot utilization will be short in duration and are weather permitting. While this lot is closed, please find alternative appropriate parking in nearby parking lots.

Parking Permits now on Sale. 

Parking permits for the next academic year (2024-2025) are  beginning July 15, 2024. Parking permits are virtual, so you will not receive a physical permit. Your license plate will act as your parking permit.

The provides convenient access to your parking account information. You can view your account, purchase a parking permit, make a ticket payment, and update vehicle information.

A free parking option is also available. Those who take advantage of this option will have a virtual green permit, which allows for remote parking in Lot K on the west side of campus, just off Lincoln Highway.

For those only needing temporary parking, there are short-term parking options available. Short-term permits can be purchased online, and options include daily, weekly and monthly permits. Short term parking is also available at pay stations and via the AMP Park mobile app.

Policy Library update 鈥� new policies

New policies are open to review and comment for a 30-day period. This provides our 麻豆精品 community the opportunity to consider and respond to the new policies before they take effect. The new policies are:

• Student Code of Conduct; respond by Aug. 10.
• Asset Management; respond by Aug. 12.

State of Illinois announces updated Fiscal Year 2025 fringe benefit rates.

On July 1, 2024, the state of Illinois updated the fringe benefit rates for grants and contracts. Sponsored Programs Administration will use these rates in proposal budgets immediately. See our for more information.

Important Update from Sponsored Programs Administration

Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) is excited to announce a significant update regarding the assignment of grant numbers. Starting July 1, 2024, all new grant numbers will have their InfoEd record number correspond to the last five digits of the PeopleSoft grant number.

Key Points:

• No changes to existing grant numbers: Grant numbers for existing awards and how campus uses grant numbers will remain unchanged.
• Modernization project: This update is a part of SPA鈥檚 ongoing grants modernization project, aimed at enhancing efficiency and ease of record association between pre- and post-award.
• Impacted areas:
  • Grant number format.
  • Duplicate grant numbers.
  • Multiple grant numbers for a single award (rare instances).

Walk2Run and Walk2Talk Programs begin July 17

Employee Well-being is happy to announce that beginning Wednesday, July 17, we will be coordinating our annual Walk2Run program. New this year, we are also adding a Walk2Talk option. Both programs are free to staff, faculty, family, students and the general community to provide opportunities to support each other, and collectively give time to our health and well-being.

Walk2Run is a guided, 10-week training program for beginning runners. The program gradually builds your physical and mental stamina and skills and prepares you to complete the annual DeKalb Corn Classic 10K/5K race taking place across DeKalb and the 麻豆精品 campus Sunday, Sept. 29. Walk2Talk invites all to engage in a more casual and interactive experience which allows for a chance to move, talk and share experiences for overall well-being.

Coordinated by Employee Well-being and led by 麻豆精品鈥檚 own Greg Hulmes (ORED Operations) and Lise Schlosser (Center for Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality). .
